Three years ago I bought a dehumidifier. I considered it as one of the best dehumidifier in the market as I had spent a lot of time going through user reviews to make the decision. However, just recently I found something wrong with it. I honestly not so sure what had happened. One moment it was working fine another moment it emits this strange sound.I have some experience in electrical repairs so I thought I should check it out

Then after a moment of external inspection, I took apart the internal compartments. It seems that some part had been burnt. Though it doesn't look serious, I wondered what had caused it. Luckily, the customer support was helpful and they gave me some good advice. I cleaned up the burnt part and change the wiring. Then I checked my basement and found some leakage that makes the room wetter. I fixed that too and now my machine works fine. Hopefully it stays that way.

Then I sat down back to my study room and did some research online. At first I couldn't find anything but after nearly an hour I found a problem that is similar to my problems. It seems that it has something to do with the level of humidity. Some dehumidifiers are suitable for certain rooms only. I guess my basement was too wet for my machine.
